Offline-first health screening for school camps, where 5 to 6 doctors record at once without sync conflicts.[6]

problem

School health camps screen hundreds of students in a day with 5 to 6 doctors at once, on unreliable internet. Paper forms get lost and shared spreadsheets collide.[6]

figure

built

An offline-first web app on PHP and MySQL with a Service Worker. Each station owns its own database row, so sync never conflicts. Doctors record offline and the app syncs when the network returns. Reports come out in plain language through a Gemma-based layer with voice input.[6][1]

numbers

  • Load-tested at 10,000 students and 86,000 section writes on shared hosting.[6]
  • p95 of 1.3 ms to save a section and 31 ms to poll for sync.[6]
  • Gemma-based plain-language report generation, with voice input.[1]
  • Deployed at real school health camps.[7]
